We had another great day go catching fish. We had a mixed bag today, including Snook, Black Drum ,sheepshead and several other species
Mike caught his first tarpon and it wasn’t easy with an eight foot bull shark chasing it in to the boat.. This tarpon literally jumped in the boat to get away, so we got a quick pick and move away from the shark and released her safe and sound..
Tarpon fishing can be as frustrating as a spouse!! That was certainly the case on Monday, because we jumped 13 between the two trips I ran and only landed 4. So for Eryck to land the first tarpon he ever hooked in to is pretty impressive (way more impressive than the pic we got) but whatcha gonna do… it gets hectic out there when u got a 50 pound fish on and a 200 pound bull shark chasing it.
Sunday was all about the Snook fishing!!! Here is Aaron with one of many over slot Snook!!!
February thermoclines tend to bring the rays nearshore and the cobia are ripe for the picking…Jordan and Julie got there shots at some studs and both landed a solid cobe!!
Monday morning, Butch and his wife booked a charter with me last minute and we had an amazing day. Snook were chewing all day, they caught over 20 snook in 2 hours and it was beautiful.
While I was on a charter on Saturday we had an audience watching us catch one Snook after another. Some guys from Jersey that were watching us from the pier called and booked a trip for Sunday and slayed the Snook. They caught 15 Snook and several other species. Was another great day on the water.
Wednesday was a Black Drum kind of day. I'm not really sure how many fish we caught, but I know it was a lot cause I worked my butt off baiting hooks, taking fish off the hook, and cleaning them at the end of the day!!!
You could say that Ann is O'Fishly Hooked after this day!!
